Poor Finn. Cal was sure she'd never seen him act this skittishly before, however relatively little time she'd known him. It was usually all attitude and raised fists, and while she had originally wanted to just kick back, relax and see Finn try to fumble his way out of the situation, it seemed her conscience wouldn't allow it. Running her hand through her hair, Cal sighed and decided to make her way to the main counter this time, if only to take all the blunt objects away so Finn wouldn't chuck them all at the kid in a panic attack.
It was around that time the kid assured Finn that he was straight. Quite insistantly, too. Cal shifted the large box when she came to it, peering inside. They'd have to split the amount of books inside and carry them in at least two boxes, otherwise it would be a lot of work for only one person to carry them all. The kid kept talking to Finn, though Calleigh couldn't tell whether he was listening or not. The pièce de résistance of the kid's, however, was to remove his very Clark Kent-ian disguise and slap a magazine to the counter, proclaiming himself a rock star.
'Hmm. Ted Nugent is a rock star. Alice Cooper is a rock star and so is Don Henley, this kid seems more of the teenybopper male idol you get dime a dozen in the local entertainment industry...' Calleigh mused to herself in her head.
"So. What'll we be doing about this?" She patted the box while she addressed Finn. She wasn't too fond of chasing the potential customers away just so they could close shop for a while and hand deliver this one's purchases, but she didn't want to leave Finn in a jam. _________________ Calleigh White Fox - Soul Seer

Card accepted, PIN accepted, a clean transaction. Finn kept his eyes on the monitor for fear of catching his stalker's eye, and thank god he did, really, cause from the look of it, Kaede's dad was a big guy in the music business or something. A spoilt brat.. great, and his father had enough clout to sue him to Yakutsk if he didn't accept the fluffy cuffs and everything.
Or, that's the train of thought Finn would have followed, if the kid didn't suddenly shout out 'I AM STRAIGHT' at the top of his lungs in the middle of a semi-busy bookstore.. The punk finally lifted his head and glared at Kaede, giving him a 'what the hell did you do that for? You mad?' look and handing the golden card back to him.
Things went from weird to worse when the glasses came off and his customer was revealed to be a rock star? Rock star? Well, he was no Joe Strummer, probably just a pop idol who wanted to live it up with the greats, either way it turned Finn's glare into a bit of a frown. He looked down at the desk again.
"This could go two ways. Either I've got a reverse celebrity crush or this is a hidden camera show. I'm gonna go with the latter, it's less creepy."
Cal came along right at that instant, which was a godsend, Finn knew if he kept at it, he'd end up digging a mightily deep hole for himself. The level-headed Lakota, on the other hand, could probably diffuse the situation easier. The bleach-haired twentysomething shrugged at her question.
"Eh, Mitzi doesn't know her arse from her elbow but I don't think she'd break anything if we left for twenty minutes. And besides, we got that Sho guy on call if she needs any help. Won't take that long, right kid?"
He directed his attention back to Kaede with a frowning glance (but not a glare any more!). They'd just nip on down to his hotel room, drop off the load of crap he ordered and be back in time for tea and scones.

Well, maybe he wasn't exactly the typical sort of rockstar. In fact, it was really better to call him a teenage idol than anything else. In any case, Kaede always had this impression that his 'alter-ego' as the celebrity would at least earn him some 'wows'. After all, his album had managed to stay on top of the Japanese music chart since the past week Thus, it wasn't a really a wonder to find the look of disappointment hanging across Kaede's face after hearing Finn's reply. Pressing his left hand onto his forehead as an expression of his disbelief, the young man uttered the following words in a quiet whisper.
"Man... I'm telling you that I'm seriously the real thing! This ain't no game show. Though it would seriously scare the crap out of me if a camera crew jumps out from behind your counter now."
Kaede giggled just a bit at his silly little joke before stopping seconds after he had just started. From the stony expressions of both Cal and Finn (this is what I assume), the young man quickly understood that his miserable attempt at cracking a joke had been nothing but an utter failure. With his lonely giggles echoing and disappearing into the shop, an awkward silence quickly followed. It was only broken when Kaede cleared his throat to sort out the awkwardness and tension in the air.
"Erhem... Erm... Hmmm... Oh right. Thanks Finn-san, Cal-san! The hotel's only two streets down and I'm pretty sure that it would be quick trip."
A quick trip, that was the assumption of young Yamamoto Kaede but then again, had anything ever gone as he planned? Nope. He waited for the others to sort out the books into two separate boxes before pushing the door open and leading the party of three into the streets. As he stepped onto the concrete floors of the street, voices of hundreds echoed from the square.
"5! 4! 3! 2! 1!
MERRY CHRISTMAS!"
'Jingle Bells', the famous/over-played christmas tune boomed through the speakers from the city square while those who had gathered in the area began to exchange well wishes amongst themselves. As far as Kaede could tell, this marked the start of Christmas Day. Turing around to face the couple, Kaede wished the two a Merry Christmas with the most charming smile that he could summon.
However, this smile had soon faded off when a thunderous roar suddenly sounded from the same direction as to where the city square was and Kaede was pretty sure that this was not part of the celebration. Seconds after the inhuman scream, a wave of spiritual energy slammed into his body. Alarmed, he jerked his head quickly to the source of the roar. His mouth gapped just a little as a thought appeared in his mind.

"You always have time to dispense compliments, don't you." Calleigh deadpanned at Finn, but in all honesty, he had a point. Mitzi was a sweet girl, but there was a reason her name rhymed with 'ditzy'.
The rockstar, however, managed to make things a little more awkward with his comment about a camera crew behind the counter. Calleigh's face was blank of all emotion for a few moments, before she shook her head. Taking out a second cardboard box from under the counter, Calleigh fluffed it into it's box-form from the flattened one and quickly taped the bottom of it so it would not, even accidentally, give way during the trip. It wasn't that cold outside, but cold enough to make Calleigh not want to spend extra time outside when it wasn't needed. Speaking of cold, before they would venture out, Cal popped upstairs and retrieved coats for herself and Finn, putting his on the counter and quickly putting on her jacket, after which she continued her task of dividing the volumes.
When she had put about a third of the volumes bought into the new box, a roar startled her from the task. Turning to the windows and looking for the source, not seeing it. Rushing out the door, Calleigh soon spotted it and swore in English.
"Oh come on! It's Christmas!" She spoke in English, throughly frustrated with the turn of events. _________________ Calleigh White Fox - Soul Seer

...So it wasn't a hidden camera show, well damn. That made Finn a little worried, cause it meant the greater of those two evils was the truth, in his mind at least. Thank god he had Cal to hand, no ball-gag for him when he got to the hotel room! Kaede left, Cal continued to fill the boxes, Finn quickly went across to the redheaded Mitzi and tapped her on the shoulder, she spun around as if possessed and dropped a heavy box of books on his feet.
"Ah, I'm so sorry! You gave me quite a shock there, big guy! What can I do you for?"
"Yo, Cal and I are just going out for ten minutes, think you can manage without breaking any more toes?"
"Toes? Going out? Oh! Right! Riiiight." She winked. "I getcha! You take your time, I've got it aaallll sorted at this end."
Finn said his thanks, grabbed his own box and promptly left the store (there was a pile of books for Cal to fill her box with, not like he was leaving her in the lurch!).
Kaede turned, looked like he'd just been frozen by a gorgon, there was a roar, Cal ran out and shouted something in English. Finn turned to see the hollow and thanked his lucky stars that it hardly ever snowed in this part of Japan, otherwise he would've slipped and fallen on his arse. With his box firmly clutched in his arms he stared up at the great lug. He too spoke in English:
"Oh for f**ks sake! Piss off whitey, we've got books to deliver."
Give it a good telling off, if it doesn't do as it's told, then give it a little discipline, simple as! _________________ Finn Green - Soul Seer - Vizard

"Oh for f**ks sake! Piss off whitey, we've got books to deliver."
Kaede's eyes had widened at those words, surprised by the fact that the two who were companying him had been able to see the monstrosity and perhaps, awed by the way Finn had taunted the creature. Though curious of how the others were capable of seeing the fiend, there was more important matters at hand, for the creature did not seem eager to bid Finn's demand.
Having caught a whiff of the thick air of reiatsu surrounding the three humans, the Hollow's predatory instincts kicked in. The masked monster leapt from the high grounds and landed steadily before the trio, on its four paws. The creature kept its body low while it circled its prey, waiting for the opportune moment to tackle.
Knowing that there was no way he could avoid this conflict, the celebrity clenched his fist and raised them before himself. With a sudden burst of reiatsu, a flare of blue engulfed his whole body. There was no doubt that the sudden combustion would have taken all by surprise since none of the beings present knew of his powers. But this was exactly what he needed.
As the reiatsu subsided to surround only his limbs, Kaede charged forth towards the great white fiend. He pulled his fist back and as he neared the Hollow, he released his reiatsu-powered punch to the creatures head, hoping to end this battle as soon as possible. _________________ Yamamoto Kaede - Soul Seer

Alright, time for fast thinking. The Hollow had to be gotten away from both the crowd and the store window. Looked like the Hollow had done the former thing for them, focusing on the spiritual pressure radiating from the store, but there was still the tiny bit of the fragile bookstore window!
Seemed like the star had that under control, he was attacking the Hollow and most likely radiating enough spiritual pressure to keep it busy for a few moments, long enough for her to do what she needed to.
Dashing off, Calleigh tried to look for a good point from where to start her manouver. Finally spotting one, she stopped and hollered at the young man.
"Move out of the way!" She wasn't quite behind him, or behind the Hollow, but she was at a good enough spot. Lowering her head, Calleigh called forth Pte, her head, shoulders and forearms quickly getting covered with thick fur as she began to charge towards the Hollow. By the time she reached the creature, she had built enough momentum to bring the Hollow with her as she continued her run, hearing something snap when she hit the spirit. As quickly as she had ran into it, she stopped and let the Hollow continue moving, hopefully having caused a bit more than a slight inconvenience.
Calleigh then ran back to what she figured was the line of resistance, still keeping Pte active. Hopefully normal people couldn't see the fur, it would take some creativity to explain it in that case. That and the horns. Calleigh cast uncertain looks at Finn and Kaede, not really sure what to do next, or really wanting to try another rush at the Hollow. It hadn't hurt her, per se, it just wasn't all that pleasant. _________________ Calleigh White Fox - Soul Seer

Holy crap, the kid could see the hollow, that was astonishing enough in itself, but he already had some wacky powers to call his own too, the astonishment was practically doubled (tripled if you count the fact he seemed to know what the hell he was doing, too). Finn slowly lowered his box of books onto the pavement and waggled his arm a little, the small iron spearhead attached to a band of leather slipping into his hand.
This wasn't a major hollow, you could tell that by... by sniffing it (damn, he'd had to sort his head out one day), maybe bringing out his electrified spear would do more harm than good, especially in the zone of giving out explanations for what he was doing with a magical polearm. Finn shrugged and allowed the spearhead to slip down his wrist once more, he began to scan the ground for some lumps of rock to throw at the stupid monster. Only problem was, this wasn't Obuna, the streets were paved with... solid tarmac... no great lumps of offensive material to hand.
And besides, Cal had everything covered by the looks of it, turning into a horny caveman (cavewoman?) and charging right for the cat-like hollow and the flaming celebrity. Finn turned his attention, then, to his box of books, and Calleigh's too, both of which had been woefully neglected during the charging and the leaping battle that'd look like a couple of street performers to the general public.
"Oi! Get your grimy mitts offa that! It's paid-for property!"
Finn dashed across to the greasy otaku who was knelt over one of the boxes, wading his hands through the volumes of manga and adding the ones he needed to a small pile on the pavement. Needless to say, the fast approach of a tall, leather-jacketed and bleach-haired man scared the little idiot away.
Finn went about guarding the boxes. _________________ Finn Green - Soul Seer - Vizard

Well, Keiko had been ignorant of something, because for some reason she had hoped that what ever those creatures with the masks were, they wouldn't attack people on Christmas.
But of course, even right after it turned into christmas day, she began to feel that aura again...like something had the insane urge to kill.
It was one of those masked creeps, she just knew it...AND ON CHRISTMAS!
Becuase of the circumstances..well, there were alot of people out(I think?), and not everyone can deal with the masked creatures (not that she can) she actually followed the aura back to it's source, which she found after peeking around a corner.
Ever since she had gotten the ability to see such creatures(which now seemed to chase her more often than ever!) she began carrying things with her in her backpack. Old peices of junk, rocks, sticks ect...
At the moment, she was only starting on the path of one who could see hollows and so didn't really know anything except that well, she could see them...and so too could the people that she saw trying to fight it.
When she saw them not knowing exactly what to do next, she took off her back pack, rummaged a bit and took out a few rocks, which she then proceeded to throw at the hollow rapid fire when nobody was in the way.
As quickly as was possible, she grabbed out a stone which had a peice of cloth loosely tied around it and threw it up on a fire escape ladder thing, while she hid behind some trashcans.
She only hoped that (1) the group could defeat it, (2) the thing would fall for the deception, and (3) the thing would in some way, not wind up killing her. Of course, the killing one had to come last, right? Right, that's just how Keiko was. _________________ I shall edit later on? O.o;
